MAJOR-NEWS: “Yankees Fume Over Dodgers’ Shocking Disrespect: ‘This Is Personal Now!’ “

The New York Yankees were well aware of the jabs and insults hurled their way after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched the World Series. Former Yankees infielder Jon Berti revealed that the team felt disrespected by the Dodgers’ post-victory comments. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard a World Series-winning team talk so poorly about the losing team,” Berti said on *Foul Territory*. “It felt like they were dismissing us to the point where it seemed like we didn’t even belong in the World Series.”

The Dodgers’ Chris Taylor took a shot at the Yankees’ performance during Game 5 of the World Series on the *On Base With Mookie Betts* podcast. “We’re all thinking it—they kind of fell apart in the fifth inning,” Taylor said. “They were pressing, and it just snowballed. All we had to do was put the ball in play, and they unraveled.” Meanwhile, reliever Joe Kelly didn’t hold back on the *Baseball Isn’t Boring* podcast, calling the Yankees “sloppy” and “not very good.” Kelly pointed to Shohei Ohtani’s extra base on a misplay by Gleyber Torres as an example. “We’re the Dodgers; we notice every little detail,” Kelly told host Rob Bradford. “It was a fun series, but it was a mismatch from the start. If there were playoff re-rankings, they might be eighth or ninth.”

Berti, who recently signed with the Chicago Cubs as a free agent, believes the Yankees deserved more respect despite their struggles in the World Series. “We won a lot of games last year, won our division, and took care of Kansas City and Cleveland to get there,” Berti said. “We earned our spot, even if we didn’t play our best when it mattered most.”
