However, they’ll also need to keep an eye on wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who appears on the injury report. Tagovailoa has made significant strides in his recovery, receiving an injury update alongside Hill. According to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques and the team’s official practice report, Tagovailoa has been upgraded to a full participant, while Hill is listed as “limited” due to a foot injury. While there are no indications that Hill will miss the Week 8 game, his injury is still a concern.
Despite this, the atmosphere in Miami is more optimistic as Tagovailoa has been removed from the injured reserve list, completed a full practice session, and is set to start after missing all games since Week 2 due to a concussion. Hill expressed excitement about Tagovailoa’s return, noting how much he’s been missed. “He looked great,” Hill said. “Felt like old times. We connected on a few deep shots today, and it felt good. I told him I’ve got to take him and his wife to dinner because I missed him so much. Just having him back in the lineup, calling plays, and directing the offense was incredible. He’s a huge part of this team, and we all respect him. We’re thrilled to have him back.”
Miami’s offense has struggled in Tua Tagovailoa’s absence, with Skylar Thompson starting one game against the Seattle Seahawks, followed by Tyler Huntley taking over for the rest of the games. Last season, Tagovailoa led the league in passing, which prompted the Dolphins to sign him to a significant extension, proving his importance to the team. As Tyreek Hill stated, “He makes a big difference. Tua and Mike (McDaniel) have a special connection that allows Tua to truly shine. He has built strong relationships with all of us, and that chemistry translates to the field. Currently, Hill has recorded 24 catches for 294 yards and one touchdown, and both he and Tagovailoa are eager to bring back their explosive playmaking when they face the Cardinals on Sunday.
