Wide receiver DK Metcalf has been officially ruled out for the Seattle Seahawks’ upcoming game against the Los Angeles Rams due to a right knee sprain.
This marks the second game Metcalf will miss as a result of an MCL sprain he sustained during the October 20 matchup against Atlanta.
Seattle coach Mike McDonald expressed optimism earlier in the week about Metcalf’s potential return for the Rams game but confirmed on Friday that he would not be playing. Metcalf has not participated in practice this week.
“He just needs more time,” Macdonald said. “There’s nothing he could have done differently. It’s simply about giving him the time he needs, which is best for both him and the team.”
So far this season, Metcalf has recorded 35 receptions for 568 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 16.2 yards per catch.
The Seahawks (4-4) will have a bye week following this game.
