**Cubs Finalize Travel Roster for Japan Series, Include Top Prospect Matt Shaw**
The **Chicago Cubs** have set their travel roster for the **season-opening series** in Japan, and top prospect **Matt Shaw** is making the trip. Manager **Craig Counsell** confirmed Tuesday that Shaw, who has been recovering from a **left oblique injury**, will join the team for the **two-game Tokyo Series** against the **Los Angeles Dodgers** at the **Tokyo Dome** on **March 18**.
Shaw, the Cubs’ **No. 1 prospect**, has shown enough progress in recent days to earn a spot on the travel roster. However, since he is a **non-roster invitee**, the Cubs will need to make a **40-man roster move** if they want him to be part of the **26-man active roster** for the opener.
Other players on the bubble who made the travel roster include **left-hander Jordan Wicks**, **right-hander Ben Brown**, and **right-hander Brad Keller**. Like Shaw, Keller would also need to be added to the 40-man roster to be active for the games in Japan. The Cubs have until **Opening Day** to finalize any roster moves.
