BREAKING: Miami’s Cam Ward Locked as No. 1 NFL Draft Pick, Says Adam Schefter!

Miami Hurricanes star quarterback Cam Ward is widely regarded as the frontrunner to be the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft, according to ESPN’s top NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Schefter has made it clear that he believes Ward will be the first player selected, regardless of which team holds the top pick. “Zero chance that Cam Ward is going to make it to the [New York] Giants at three,” Schefter said on ESPN Radio. “I expect that Cam Ward will be the No. 1 pick in the draft, whether that’s Tennessee, Cleveland, or the New York Giants making that pick.”

Schefter emphasized that conversations with NFL executives and scouts before, during, and after the combine have only reinforced his belief that Ward is the consensus top quarterback in this class. “From my perspective, I’m talking to more and more people before the combine, at the combine, and after the combine. The conversations I’ve had have convinced me that Cam Ward will be the No. 1 pick and certainly the first quarterback off the board,” he said.

Ward’s combination of arm talent, athleticism, and poise has made him the standout prospect in this year’s draft class. As the draft approaches, all eyes will be on Ward to see if he lives up to the hype and becomes the first name called on draft night.
