BREAKING; Chiefs Lock Down Key Weapon: Star Running Back Returns to Fuel Kansas City’s Quest for Another Title!

The Kansas City Chiefs secured a crucial piece of their offense on Monday, re-signing veteran tailback Kareem Hunt, a key contributor to their three-time defending AFC championship success.

Despite joining the Chiefs in Week 4 last season, Hunt quickly became a focal point of the team’s ground game, leading Kansas City in carries (200), rushing yards (728), and rushing touchdowns (7). He continued to shine in the postseason, adding 117 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries during the Chiefs’ playoff run. Hunt’s ability to avoid negative plays was instrumental in the Chiefs finishing with the fewest negative rushes (excluding kneeldowns) in the NFL last season, highlighted by his impressive 500 yards gained after first contact.

The 29-year-old running back played a vital role in stabilizing the Chiefs’ offense after the loss of Isiah Pacheco in Week 2. Following a strong 2024 campaign, Hunt is set to return for another season, providing Kansas City with a reliable and dynamic presence in their backfield as they aim for continued success.
