BREAKING; INJURY UPDATE: Teams Pro Bowler Return Remains Questionable After Sustaining Ankle Injury.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ injury report from Wednesday to Friday was packed with names. However, by the time Week 10 rolled around, the team listed only Ben VanSumeren as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Things took a turn for the better later, as VanSumeren was upgraded to “no status” just before the game, meaning he had cleared concussion protocol and was good to go.

The Eagles entered the game healthy, which was a positive sign at this point in the season. Unfortunately, the optimism surrounding the return of a few starters quickly diminished. Their Pro Bowl cornerback, Darius Slay, was injured again.

Slay had to leave the field early in the first quarter of the game against the Cowboys, limping off after the first defensive series with an ankle injury. He was listed as questionable to return, and Isaiah Rodgers replaced him at cornerback.

There was more bad news for the Eagles as well: Jalen Hurts’ turnover-free streak ended in the second quarter. He threw an interception on the first play of the quarter while targeting Dallas Goedert in the end zone.

The interception was made by former Alabama teammate Trevon Diggs of the Cowboys. Goedert went to the medical tent afterward but returned to the game on the next offensive drive.

On a brighter note, Darius Slay did return to the field with just over 9 minutes left in the second quarter, which was a relief for the Eagles’ defense. His return was a testament to his toughness, proving once again that he’s a player who battles through adversity.
