The 2024 season ended on a sour note for the New York Yankees, as they were defeated by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series. To make matters worse, they also saw star outfielder Juan Soto leave for the New York Mets, a move that many commentators believed marked a major shift in New York City baseball.
However, the Yankees have bounced back strong in 2025, winning their first three games of the season, largely thanks to the impressive performance of Aaron Judge. The star slugger has already hit four home runs and driven in 11 RBIs, including three homers in a game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday.
The Yankees sent him a message on Instagram, saying, “Let’s roll, Cap,” as they look to build on their explosive start, having scored 36 runs in those first three games. With Judge leading the charge, there’s renewed optimism that they might be able to contend for the World Series this year.
Judge had an incredible 2024, leading MLB with 144 RBIs, 58 home runs, and a .458 on-base percentage, earning his second American League MVP in three years. To bring the Yankees back to the top, he may need to have another historic season in 2025.
