Emotional Moment: JuJu Watkins Surprises USC Women’s Basketball Team with Heartfelt FaceTime After Sweet 16 Victory!

The USC women’s basketball team faced a significant challenge in the NCAA Tournament as they had to secure a victory without their star guard, JuJu Watkins, who is out for the season due to a torn ACL suffered in the second round of March Madness. Watkins, the National Player of the Year, was unable to be with her teammates in Spokane, Washington, for their Sweet 16 matchup against the No. 5 seed Kansas State Wildcats.

Though she couldn’t be on the court, Watkins remained deeply connected to the team, closely following the game from home. After trailing by two points at halftime, the Trojans mounted a strong comeback in the second half, securing a 67-61 victory over the Wildcats and advancing to the Elite 8.

Once the game ended, JuJu checked in with the team. Freshman guards Brooklyn Shamblin and Rian Forestier took a celebratory photo with a cellphone showing Watkins FaceTiming with the squad while they were in the locker room, enjoying their big win.
