BREAKING; Vikings Make Bold Roster Move That Proves Kwesi Adofo-Mensah’s NFL Draft Genius!

The Minnesota Vikings have made significant improvements to their roster during free agency, with general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah focusing on strengthening both the offensive and defensive lines. Key acquisitions such as right guard Will Fries, center Ryan Kelly, and defensive tackles Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave have bolstered the team’s foundation. However, the cornerback position remains under-addressed, despite the re-signing of Byron Murphy and the addition of Isaiah Rodgers.

On Monday, the Vikings further thinned their cornerback depth by releasing Nahshon Wright. Wright, a third-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft, was selected much higher than his consensus ranking, but his height and length suited Dan Quinn’s cover-3 system. Wright was involved in a trade for cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. in August 2022, marking a move tied to Adofo-Mensah’s second-ever draft pick. Unfortunately, neither team saw significant gains from the trade, with this release serving as a reminder of the challenges in the Vikings’ 2022 draft decisions.
