Kirk Cousins played a key role in the Minnesota Vikings’ progression as a team, helping develop stars like Christian Darrisaw, Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and Stefon Diggs, even though he never led them to a Super Bowl. As the NFL Draft approaches, Cousins, now with the Atlanta Falcons, could be on the move again. In his latest column, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated suggests that a trade involving Cousins remains a possibility during draft weekend. Breer notes that Cousins is likely waiting to see how the draft unfolds before deciding on a trade, as he holds a no-trade clause in his contract. The Vikings still need a reliable veteran backup for their new quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, and Cousins could be the ideal fit. Given his contract and the money owed, he could potentially be acquired at a reasonable cost.
