BREAKING; Yankees’ Breakout Star Is the Steal of the Season — You Won’t Believe His Contract!

The New York Yankees are off to a strong start this season, thanks in large part to their offense. Heading into the year, there were questions about how the lineup would perform following Juan Soto’s departure in free agency. While no one player could fully replace Soto’s impact, the Yankees did a commendable job assembling a lineup with both talent and depth.

A big reason for the offensive success has been the emergence of the team’s young core, particularly one standout: shortstop Anthony Volpe. Joel Reuter of Bleacher Report recently highlighted Volpe as the Yankees’ best value player, earning under $1 million while playing a key role at a premium position.

Selected 30th overall in the 2019 draft, Volpe has quickly risen through the ranks to become New York’s long-term solution at shortstop. Now in his third big-league season, the 23-year-old is showing signs of a breakout year. Through the early part of 2025, he’s slashing .234/.321/.553 with four home runs and 12 RBIs. Most notably, his power numbers are bouncing back after a dip last season—an encouraging sign after hitting 21 homers as a rookie but only 12 in 2024.

In addition to his offensive contributions, Volpe remains a force defensively. He won a Gold Glove as a rookie and continues to shine in the field this season.

Given his growing impact and modest salary, Volpe’s contract might be the best bargain on a roster stacked with high-priced stars.
