BREAKING; Stroman’s Tough Night vs. Giants Just Got Worse—Here’s the Latest on His Injury

The New York Yankees suffered a 9-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Friday night, falling behind early and never recovering. Marcus Stroman struggled, lasting just two-thirds of an inning and giving up five earned runs. After the game, manager Aaron Boone revealed that Stroman was dealing with a knee issue, according to Yankees Videos.

“His knee was bothering him when he came out,” Boone told reporters. “He went for tests, and we’ll see what the results show… He mentioned discomfort in his left knee, and we got X-rays here before he went to the hospital for additional testing. We’ll know more by tomorrow.”

On Saturday, ahead of the Yankees’ second game against the Giants, Boone was asked for an update.

“There’s no new information yet,” he said. “He’s just arriving and will be meeting with the doctor shortly. Hopefully I’ll have a clearer picture after that.”
