Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler provided a reassuring update following a concerning collision during the team’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. With the postseason picture set, the Warriors now face another run through the Play-In Tournament to secure a playoff spot. Despite the setback on Sunday, the team is in far better shape than it was earlier in the season—thanks in large part to the midseason acquisition of the six-time All-Star.
Butler sparked some concern among fans when he was seen limping after a late-game clash with Clippers star Kawhi Leonard. However, the 35-year-old quickly put any major worries to rest, indicating he plans to suit up for Tuesday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies.
When asked about his condition, Butler kept things light, telling ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk, “I’ll be alright. Go home and play some dominoes and drink some coffee—that’ll make it feel better.”
