South Carolina’s coaching staff continues to make significant strides on the recruiting trail, with several committed prospects emerging as potential flips for the Gamecocks. As the 2025 recruiting class takes shape, here’s a look at some of the top targets and their recruitment statuses.
Steve Miller [CB), a highly sought-after Georgia native committed to Southern California, is planning a visit to South Carolina this weekend. The Gamecocks are working hard to flip Miller, and his camp has given positive feedback, indicating that South Carolina is a serious contender in his recruitment.
Jared Smith (EDGE), currently a five-star committed to Auburn, remains a top target for the Gamecocks. After his second visit to Columbia this year, South Carolina has gained significant traction. The recruitment is expected to be a tight race between South Carolina, Auburn, and Ole Miss.

Kevin “Juju” Wynn (DT), a four-star defensive tackle committed to Florida State, has caught the attention of the Gamecocks. South Carolina has been making a strong push, with Wynn having visited schools like Georgia and Texas. Wynn’s connection with teammate Steve Miller adds an extra layer of intrigue to this recruitment.
Zavion Hardy (DT), ranked as the No. 1 JUCO player in the country, is another target for South Carolina. Though Hardy is currently committed to Mississippi State, the Gamecocks have remained in the mix, with Hardy continuing to communicate with the staff and recently visiting Columbia.
AJ Brand (QB), a Virginia Tech commit and Columbia native, is a top quarterback prospect in South Carolina. Initially recruited as a defensive back, the Gamecocks are now pursuing him as a quarterback. Brand, who played with top WR target Donovan Murph in high school, could be a valuable addition to the class.
Michael Clayton (CB), a four-star cornerback from Georgia and Rutgers commit, recently visited South Carolina, leaving a positive impression. The Gamecocks are positioned to make a significant impact in Clayton’s recruitment as he plans to make a decision in December.
Other Key Prospects include Braxton Kyle (DT), a Rutgers commit who’s been courted by SEC schools, Christian Ingram (DT), a four-star tackle from Georgia who’s nearing a decision, and Kelten Mickell (DT), a Liberty commit who impressed during a recent visit. South Carolina is also monitoring Seven Cloud (DT), a former Georgia commit, and Jeff Overton (RB), a Virginia Tech commit.
Looking ahead to the 2025 class, South Carolina has already secured several promising commitments, including four-star receivers Jordon Gidron, Malik Clark, Lex Cyrus, and Brian Rowe, as well as four-star offensive tackle Shedrick Sarratt Jr. The Gamecocks also have four-star linebacker commitments in Jaquel Holman, Donovan Darden, and Caleb Williams, along with several other talented three-star recruits.
In addition to these commitments, South Carolina continues to target several high-priority recruits, including Chandavian Bradley (EDGE), a former Tennessee five-star and JUCO transfer, and Damola Ajidahun (OT), a Georgia Tech commit who is still considering the Gamecocks after a recent visit.
