Vikings Could Target Browns’ Wyatt Teller in Post-Draft Trade to Bolster Offensive Line
The Minnesota Vikings have already made significant investments to upgrade the interior of their offensive line — and more reinforcements could be on the way after the NFL Draft.
With just four total picks in this year’s draft, the Vikings will need to be strategic in how they add affordable young talent. Most mock drafts predict Minnesota will prioritize the secondary, with many projecting a cornerback selection at No. 24 overall.
If that plays out, Minnesota could turn to the trade market to fill remaining needs — particularly at guard. One potential target? Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Wyatt Teller.
The Pro Football & Sports Network recently identified Teller, 30, as the Browns’ top trade candidate after the draft and listed the Vikings as a likely landing spot.
Teller would likely carry strong trade value,” PFSN wrote on April 18. “The Seahawks and Vikings both ranked in the bottom five in pressures allowed by guards last season and could slot Teller in as an immediate starter.”
Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has close ties to Browns GM Andrew Berry, having worked under him before taking over in Minnesota. The two have maintained a strong working relationship and have pulled off multiple trades in recent years.
Vikings Already Added Two Key Pieces in Free Agency
Minnesota has been aggressive in addressing its offensive line this offseason, signing guard Will Fries and center Ryan Kelly — both formerly of the Indianapolis Colts. Kelly, a four-time Pro Bowler, brings leadership and experience, while Fries offers familiarity and depth.
With four starting spots now solidified, adding a proven veteran like Teller could complete a major offensive line overhaul — one that might be necessary for the Vikings to make a legitimate postseason push.
