The New York Giants are aiming to rebound from a brutal 3-14 season that featured one of the NFL’s weakest offenses. They ranked 30th in total yards per game (294.8) and 31st in scoring, averaging just 16.1 points per contest—less than the 17.6 points per game posted by Knicks’ fourth option Mikal Bridges.
To fix that, the Giants have already made notable moves this offseason, signing veteran quarterback Russell Wilson to a one-year, $10.5 million deal and drafting Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart with the 25th overall pick.
But their offensive overhaul might not be done yet. Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay suggested that six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen would be an ideal fit for New York.
“Keenan Allen fits the bill as a proven receiver with a long history of production throughout his decorated NFL career,” Kay wrote. “Whether he ends up forming a reliable veteran connection with Wilson or becomes a safety blanket for rookie Jaxson Dart, Allen could thrive as the Giants’ No. 2 option behind Malik Nabers.”
Allen, who just turned 33, is coming off a modest season with the Chicago Bears, where he caught 70 passes for 744 yards and seven touchdowns. In 2022, he tallied 108 catches for 1,243 yards and seven scores. Over his 12-year career, he’s logged six 1,000-yard seasons and 66 total touchdowns, racking up over $133 million in earnings.
Given his experience and production, Allen would be a clear upgrade over current Giants WR2 Wan’Dale Robinson, who posted just 699 yards and three TDs despite being targeted 140 times last season. Spotrac estimates Allen’s current market value around $11.1 million, making him an affordable option to boost New York’s passing game.
