After getting a routine day off on Wednesday, Sean Murphy is back in the Braves’ lineup for Thursday night’s series finale against the Cincinnati Reds. His absence was simply to give Drake Baldwin some playing time—an opportunity Baldwin made the most of by launching the first pulled home run of his career.
Atlanta’s lineup remains mostly unchanged. Alex Verdugo stays in the leadoff spot, while Eli White moves ahead of Michael Harris in the order with left-hander Nick Lodolo starting for Cincinnati. Ozzie Albies, a switch-hitter, will bat fifth.
On the Reds’ side, they’re aiming to earn a series split after managing just five runs across the first three games. They’ll be facing Spencer Schwellenbach, who’s looking to bounce back after a few shaky outings in recent weeks.
First pitch from Truist Park is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET, with the game available on all the usual viewing and listening platforms.
