BOMBSHELL; Signing This $14 Million Infielder Would Be a DEATH SENTENCE for the Yankees – Find out why

Free agency is either going to make or break the next few years of New York Yankees baseball. Plan A is to sign Juan Soto to a mammoth contract and then put the pieces together after him. Plan B is absolute chaos. The Yankees continue to be connected to one Chicago White Sox infielder as a very cheap infield option.

Multiple outlets have discussed the fit of Yoan Moncada to the Yankees roster, but does it make any sense? FanSided’s Jacob Mountz doesn’t think so. Mountz recently urged the Yankees to avoid Moncada in free agency, even though the infielder is projected to sign a contract worth less than $2 million this winter. “Moncada represents a low-risk high-reward option. He will come cheap and he has high-upside potential, but that potential is doubtful,” Mountz wrote. “If the Yankees sign him, it should be as a backup infielder or that low-risk scenario might become a high-risk scenario if the Yankees can’t come up with another more reliable infield option. For now, the Yankees need to perceive his one great year as a flash in the pan and proceed cautiously.”
