Rodgers is expected to sign a five-year deal worth just over $56 million, with the possibility of it reaching $60 million, raising the average annual value to approximately $12 million. Signing Rodgers would make a lot of sense for the Yankees, giving them a reliable and consistent defender at second base. If Rodgers can maintain a batting average above .250 and slightly boost his RBI numbers, his contract could very well prove to be a worthwhile investment.
