While excitement around the New York Giants may be low right now, there’s a real chance for the team to start building a strong foundation for future success.
They’ve added veteran quarterback Russell Wilson—a 10-time Pro Bowler—to help steady the ship. Although he’s not expected to be the long-term answer, Wilson could serve as a reliable bridge to the franchise’s next star signal-caller.
Wilson recently shared a workout photo on Instagram captioned “Hard Work Pays Off,” which sparked a wave of positive reactions from fans. After a decade with the Seattle Seahawks, including a Super Bowl win in just his second season, Wilson’s career has seen ups and downs.

Following a trade to the Denver Broncos three years ago, Wilson’s production dipped, and the team missed the playoffs in 2022 and 2023. He did lead the Pittsburgh Steelers to the postseason last year but wasn’t in their long-term plans, opening the door for his move to New York.
The Giants also have promising young talent like wide receiver Malik Nabers and rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, whom they hope to develop into a franchise cornerstone. While competing for a playoff spot won’t be easy with a tougher NFC landscape, even improving on last year’s 3-14 record would be a meaningful step forward.
