Breaking News;’ Major League Team Poised To Make Record Offer in Free Agency- You wont Believe Whos in Lead

The Juan Soto sweepstakes remains the biggest unaddressed issue of the MLB offseason. Soto is currently considering offers from several teams, including the Toronto Blue Jays, who were previously seen as a long shot to acquire the former Yankees star. However, recent reports suggest that perception may have shifted.

On Monday, SNY’s Andy Martino reported that many bidders believe the Blue Jays will make the highest offer for Soto. MLB Network Radio’s Jim Duquette also shared similar insights, stating, “You can’t rule out the Blue Jays,” and noting that many people expect Toronto to outbid the competition. Along with the Blue Jays, teams such as the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, and New York Mets are all in the running. Soto has already met with all these teams, including a positive meeting with the Blue Jays on November 15, described as “impressive” by Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

Additionally, the Blue Jays had previously made a significant offer to free agent Shohei Ohtani last offseason before he ultimately signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers, as reported by ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
