The New York Yankees have gathered in Tampa to kick off their preparations for the 2025 MLB season, with Aaron Judge already joining the team. Judge, eager to help the Yankees achieve their main goal after falling short in the 2024 season, made his spring training debut at George M. Steinbrenner Field.
The Yankees posted a simple yet attention-grabbing update on social media, featuring a series of photos of the two-time American League MVP diving straight into work. “The Cap is back,” read the caption, accompanied by a saluting face emoji.
Despite a tough postseason in 2024, particularly in the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Judge continues to generate excitement. Fans on social media were buzzing with comments like, “So majestic, let’s get him a ring please,” and “I am now smiling once again since Yankees baseball is back. Let’s gooo.” Another fan predicted: “And I took it personal’ season incoming.” One user also added, “Judge is about to have a SOTO WHO? season,” and another chimed in, “Captain’s revenge season loading…”
During the 2024 regular season, Judge posted impressive numbers with a .322/.458/.701 slash line and an MLB-leading 58 home runs. However, his playoff performance left much to be desired. In 14 games, Judge struggled with a .184/.344/.408 line, and in the World Series against the Dodgers, he hit a poor .222 with seven strikeouts over five games and 18 at-bats.
