Recently, The Athletic released their MLB power rankings, where the Braves—who are usually near the top—have now plummeted from their usual spot in the top 5 to 10th overall. If things don’t improve soon, that drop could continue.
Braves News: Reynaldo Lopez to Undergo Shoulder Surgery
The Braves didn’t need more bad news, but they got it as Reynaldo Lopez was placed on the injured list with shoulder issues. After an examination, doctors decided that Lopez needs arthroscopic shoulder surgery, which will take place on Tuesday. Once the surgery is completed and results are in, the team will have a better idea of how long he’ll be out, but it’s looking unlikely he’ll return in the first half of the season. There’s also a chance he may not return at all in 2025.
