BREAKING; BIG D DROPS BOMBSHELL, $10 Million WR Trade Puts Cowboys In Super Bowl Contention

The Dallas Cowboys suffered a humiliating loss at home on Sunday, scoring only nine points against the Detroit Lions. As they head into their bye week, the Cowboys sit at a 3-3 record. After the break, they face a tough schedule with five consecutive games against the San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, and Washington Commanders. To keep their playoff hopes alive before December, the Cowboys may look to the trade market for an offensive boost for quarterback Dak Prescott. Scott Polacek from Bleacher Report suggested that the Cowboys could be a prime destination for New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams.

Following their disappointing 47-9 defeat to the Lions, the Cowboys could benefit from a shake-up, particularly at the wide receiver position where they lack depth beyond CeeDee Lamb. Williams could serve as an ideal deep threat, benefiting from single coverage while opposing defenses focus on slowing down Lamb and accounting for tight end Jake Ferguson. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Jets are shopping Williams after recently trading for Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders. Williams, selected by the Los Angeles Chargers with the No. 7 pick in the 2017 draft, has had a slow start to the season with the Jets, totaling 10 receptions for 145 yards in five games.

However, for a trade for Williams to happen, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would need to change his stance. Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that Jones does not plan to make any moves before the November 5th NFL trade deadline. “He says they will not be active,” Russini posted on X. “He also mentioned no changes will be made at head coach or coordinators, citing several areas that need improvement during practice.”

If the Cowboys choose to pursue Williams, they would acquire a veteran pass catcher with 319 receptions, 4,951 yards, and 31 touchdowns in his eight-year NFL career.
