BREAKING: Bruins Make Bold Move: AHL Forward Called Up for High-Stakes Game Against Capitals!

Jeffrey Viel is set to make his third appearance in Boston this season after the Bruins called him up on an emergency basis ahead of their Tuesday game against the Washington Capitals at TD Garden.

In addition to Viel’s call-up, Vinni Lettieri, who was placed on waivers along with Patrick Brown on Sunday, was also spotted at Warrior Arena on Monday. If Lettieri goes unclaimed, there’s a possibility the Bruins could bring him back onto the active roster.

Mark Kastelic, who has been sidelined with an injury, was seen on the ice prior to practice on Monday, signaling a potential return to the lineup soon. Meanwhile, Fabian Lysell and Michael Callahan, who were recently sent down as part of paper transactions, were present at practice, indicating they are still involved with the team.

Viel, 28, has suited up for four NHL games this season but has yet to record any points, accumulating nine penalty minutes. He has had a more productive stint in the AHL with the Providence Bruins, tallying 12 goals and 22 assists in 62 games. Over the course of his career, Viel has accumulated 167 points in 343 AHL games, providing the Bruins with a gritty, experienced presence in both the AHL and NHL when needed.
