BREAKING; Gamecocks’ Demetrius Knight Jr. Heads to NFL After Bengals’ Bold Move!

The Cincinnati Bengals selected South Carolina linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. with the 49th overall pick in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Knight Jr. was one of the Gamecocks’ most impactful transfers during the 2024 offseason. A classic inside linebacker, he excels at reading plays quickly and delivers a strong, physical finish as a tackler.

Before joining South Carolina, Knight Jr. spent four seasons at Georgia Tech and one at Charlotte. He immediately earned the respect of his teammates, being voted a team captain and named the most outstanding senior. Knight appeared in 13 games (starting 10) and finished second on the team with 82 tackles.
