BREAKING; Giants Shake Up the Draft! Blockbuster QB Trade Headlines Bold New Mock 6.0

The NFL Draft can’t come soon enough for fans and front offices alike. With less than three weeks until the event kicks off in Green Bay on April 24, speculation continues to swirl around what the New York Giants will do—especially with the No. 3 overall pick.

General manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll enter a crucial fourth year, facing mounting pressure to steer the franchise back to success. Their free agency moves, including signing veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, haven’t clarified their draft intentions—particularly at quarterback. However, sources indicate that if the Giants see a quarterback they believe in, they won’t hesitate to take him at No. 3, regardless of who’s already in the room.

As pre-draft focus shifts from Pro Days to private workouts and team visits, there’s growing intrigue surrounding Colorado stars Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. Cam Ward is expected to go No. 1 overall to the Titans, and the Browns at No. 2 remain a wildcard, potentially targeting linebacker Abdul Carter or Hunter.

In this latest mock draft using Pro Football Network’s simulator, the Browns passed on Hunter, allowing the Giants to grab the versatile two-way phenom at No. 3:

Round 1, Pick 3 – Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

Viewed by some scouts as the top cornerback and wide receiver in the 2025 class, Hunter could impact both sides of the ball. The Giants envision him primarily as a shutdown corner, but with the rare ability to contribute offensively as well. It would be a mental challenge for a rookie to learn two playbooks, but the staff believes Hunter is sharp enough to handle it.

Still, that didn’t end the search for a franchise quarterback.

Round 1, Pick 15 (via trade with Falcons) – Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Determined not to leave the draft without a quarterback, the Giants made a bold move. Trading up from the second round, they jumped to No. 15 to grab Sanders—who broke Colorado school records last season and is known for his poise, accuracy, and leadership. Though not a flashy dual-threat, Sanders has drawn comparisons to Russell Wilson for his deep-ball accuracy. With Wilson and Winston in place, the Giants can afford to develop him at a comfortable pace.

Here’s how the rest of the mock draft played out:

Round 3, Pick 99 – Joshua Farmer, DT, Florida State

A powerful run stopper with versatility across the line, Farmer is an athletic 6’3”, 305-pound presence who adds depth alongside Dexter Lawrence.

Round 4, Pick 104 – Damien Martinez, RB, Miami

After producing over 3,100 career rushing yards between Oregon State and Miami, Martinez adds size, strength, and versatility to the Giants’ backfield.

Round 5, Pick 154 – Jake Majors, C, Texas

A dependable, high-IQ lineman with 56 college starts, Majors offers depth at center and could potentially slot in at guard.

Round 7, Pick 219 – Hollin Pierce, OT, Rutgers

Massive at 6’8”, 344 pounds, Pierce is a developmental tackle who continues to improve and could become a valuable piece behind Andrew Thomas and Jermaine Eluemunor.

Round 7, Pick 246 – Will Sheppard, WR, Colorado

A savvy route runner with strong ties to Sanders, Sheppard impressed at the East-West Shrine Bowl and Colorado Pro Day. He’d be a smart depth pickup and familiar target for the new QB.
