Fans had the opportunity to vote throughout the college football season for their favorite “Crunch Time Hero of the Week,” ultimately deciding who would receive the prestigious title of “Crunch Time Hero of the Year.”
DALLAS, Jan. 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — PorkRinds.com, the leading destination for pork rind enthusiasts and home to popular brands like Southern Recipe, has named Dylan Stewart, a freshman defensive end from the University of South Carolina, as the winner of its 2nd annual “Crunch Time Hero of the Year” Award. Stewart earned this honor through a fan vote on PorkRinds.com, where supporters chose their favorite “Crunch Time Hero” from a pool of weekly winners. The “Crunch Time Hero of the Week” initiative is designed to recognize exceptional football players throughout the regular season.
Stewart’s outstanding performance during the season earned him the Week 1 “Crunch Time Hero of the Week” award. He finished the 2024 season with 20 tackles, including 9.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery, all while displaying the qualities of a true Crunch Time Hero.
As the recipient of the “Crunch Time Hero of the Year” Award, Stewart will receive a trophy during a special check presentation, where he will also present a $5,000 donation to the local Columbia, S.C., charity FoodShare South Carolina, courtesy of Rudolph Foods and PorkRinds.com. Additionally, Stewart will attend Radio Row with Rudolph Foods, gearing up for the NFL’s biggest game of the season in New Orleans.
