BREAKING; INJURY UPDATE: Vikings’ Key Running Back Injured In Win Over Jaguars, Status For Next Game Uncertain.

The Minnesota Vikings are sitting at 7-2 after a hard-fought victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, and now they’re turning their attention to the Tennessee Titans in Week 11. However, the Vikings’ injury concerns have grown, with running back Aaron Jones now on the radar after taking a brutal hit in the rib area during the third quarter of Sunday’s game.

Jones was visibly in pain after the hit, lying on the field before attempting to walk off under his own power, only to struggle. The 29-year-old running back was briefly carted off the field, raising concerns about the severity of his injury.

However, he managed to return to the game and even took a few more carries before finishing the day with 88 rushing yards on 17 attempts (5.2 yards per carry). Despite the rough outing, Jones played through the injury and helped the Vikings secure the win.

Heading into Week 11 against the Titans, Jones’ status is uncertain but not alarming. The Vikings’ first injury report of the week, which will be released on Wednesday, is expected to list him as limited, though he could be a full participant by Thursday or Friday.

Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell expressed optimism about Jones’ recovery, reassuring reporters that he’s progressing well. The reason Jones was carted off the field on Sunday was due to the distance between the sideline and the locker room, as the visitor’s locker room at EverBank Stadium was located on the opposite side of the stadium from where the medical staff was stationed.

For now, it looks like Jones will be ready to go on Sunday against a Titans defense that ranks 13th in the NFL, allowing 117 rushing yards per game. With defenses continuing to play the Vikings with split-safety coverage, maintaining a strong running game will be critical as they approach the playoffs. Jones’ ability to perform at a high level will be key to keeping the offense balanced and efficient as the Vikings continue their push for a playoff spot.
