BREAKING; Miami Dolphins Strike Gold in 2025 Draft: Here’s Their Updated Pick Order After Adding 4 Compensatory Selections!

The Miami Dolphins have secured a league-leading four compensatory picks for the 2025 NFL Draft, including one of the highest compensatory selections available. These additional picks bring the Dolphins’ total to 11 selections in the draft, with eight of those coming on Day 3. Miami joins the Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, and San Francisco 49ers as the only teams to receive four compensatory picks this year. Across the league, 35 compensatory selections were awarded between Rounds 3 and 7, distributed among just 15 teams.

According to the NFL’s official website, compensatory picks are allocated based on the value of free agents lost, determined by factors such as salary, playing time, and postseason honors.

With the Dolphins earning four extra picks, here’s their updated 2025 draft order:

– **Round 1:** No. 13 overall
– **Round 2:** No. 48
– **Round 3:** No. 98 (compensatory selection)
– **Round 4:** No. 116
– **Round 4:** No. 135 (compensatory selection)
– **Round 5:** No. 150
– **Round 5:** No. 155 (from Denver Broncos)
– **Round 7:** No. 224 (from Chicago Bears)
– **Round 7:** No. 231
– **Round 7:** No. 253 (compensatory selection)
– **Round 7:** No. 256 (compensatory selection)

After missing the playoffs for the first time under head coach Mike McDaniel, the Dolphins have significant work to do this offseason. With the No. 13 overall pick, Miami has several options, though many expect them to target a potential replacement for safety Jevon Holland.

The Dolphins were awarded the second-highest compensatory pick (No. 98 overall) following guard Robert Hunt’s $100 million deal with the Carolina Panthers last offseason. They also received a fourth-round pick due to the departure of Christian Wilkins and two seventh-round picks for losing DeShon Elliott and Cedrick Wilson Jr., according to Over The Cap.

While Miami has had a quiet start to the new league year, they are expected to be one of the most active teams during the draft, using their abundance of picks to address key needs and build for the future.
