Former Oregon standout Derrick Harmon and a group of Georgia prospects are among several players who have made repeated “top 30” visits to the Vikings’ TCO Performance Center. Each NFL team is allowed to host up to 30 pre-draft visitors, known as their “top 30” list—not necessarily the top 30 players on their draft board, but prospects the team wants to evaluate more closely. These visits are used to assess character, medical status, or gather more in-depth information.
It’s important to note that players from local colleges or high schools—such as University of Minnesota athletes or Iowa State’s Jalen Travis (a DeLaSalle alum)—don’t count against this limit. Teams can host an unlimited number of regional prospects.
Some of the Vikings’ confirmed top 30 visits, per the Star Tribune, include:
- Jacob Bayer (C, Arkansas State): At 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds, Bayer made a speedy recovery from a torn ACL suffered last spring, returning in just five months. A former two-star recruit, he began his college career at FCS school Lamar University. He visited on April 7.
- Marcus Mbow (RG/RT, Purdue): Mbow, 6-foot-4 and 303 pounds, has experience at both guard and tackle, with 20 starts at right guard and 12 at right tackle. NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein praised his intelligence and athleticism, saying he could thrive in a zone-blocking scheme.
- Warren Brinson (DT, Georgia): Brinson, who visited on April 6, played in 59 games across five seasons but started only eight due to Georgia’s deep defensive line rotation. He brings good size at 6-foot-5, 315 pounds.
- Nazir Stackhouse (DT, Georgia): Stackhouse, another Georgia lineman, stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 327 pounds. Known for his ability to clog running lanes, he could provide the kind of interior presence the Vikings have been missing.
These visits offer insight into the team’s potential draft-day strategy, particularly on the offensive and defensive lines.
