Breaking-News: Kentucky Football Targeting Explosive Tulane Running Back – A Game-Changer for Their Offense!”

The portal for Kentucky football officially closes for new entries tomorrow, December 28th, but players still have time to decide on their next team. While most recruitments happen quickly, some can extend for weeks, even beyond the portal’s closing. Here are five players Kentucky should consider targeting who are still available in the portal.

Some of these players may already be on Kentucky’s radar, but it’s mostly a wishlist. Tulane’s running back is among the nation’s best and likely heading to the NFL after next season. He’s explosive and excels at gaining yards after contact. While Kentucky has already added a running back in the portal, adding another dynamic player like Hughes would strengthen their backfield, especially as they plan to emphasize the run game.

The Wildcats have nearly revamped their offensive line through the portal, but they still need an experienced left tackle. Lewis would fill this gap and provide the necessary run-blocking strength on that side of the line. Coats is a ball-hawk cornerback with four interceptions last season at Nevada.

Kentucky is in need of another corner, and Coats could immediately step in and provide stability on the defense. If Kentucky can’t secure Hughes, Faison is a likely alternative in the running back room. Kentucky has shown interest in him, and he would add valuable experience alongside Dowdell and Wilcox.

Greene is an NFL-caliber receiver—big, fast, and dangerous after the catch. Though he’s had some health concerns, he would be a great addition to Kentucky’s receiving corps and help replace Barion Brown and Dane Key. He would also complement Ja’Mori Maclin.
