Breaking-News: Notre Dame beats Michigan To Officially Land Top Experience Game-Changer Elite RB Javian Osborne, 4-star RB out of Texas

Notre Dame secured a major commitment Saturday night, winning out over Michigan and other top programs for four-star Class of 2026 running back Javian Osborne.

Hailing from Forney, Texas—just outside of Dallas—Osborne is known for his powerful, hard-hitting running style. Standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 200 pounds, he’s described as a “violent” runner by 247Sports’ Gabe Brooks. Osborne stars at Forney High School and ranks as the No. 130 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 10 running back, and the 18th-best player in Texas.

This commitment is another big addition for Notre Dame, whose 2026 recruiting class currently ranks No. 2 nationally, according to 247Sports. Osborne now becomes the Irish’s second-highest rated recruit in the class, behind only elite edge rusher Rodney Dunham, a high four-star who committed in April.

According to major sportsbooks like DraftKings, Notre Dame holds +1400 odds to win the College Football Playoff next season—seventh best in the country.
