BREAKING; NFL Insider Drops Bold Vikings QB Update — But There’s a Catch

For the past couple of weeks, Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell and GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah have made it clear they’re fully behind J.J. McCarthy. Despite earlier speculation that Minnesota might pursue Aaron Rodgers, both leaders have publicly voiced strong support for their 2024 first-round pick.

After attending the NFL’s annual owners meetings, ESPN’s Dan Graziano shared on Get Up that the support for McCarthy isn’t just talk — the Vikings are genuinely committed to him.

“J.J. McCarthy is their guy,” Graziano said. “Sure, the brief Aaron Rodgers rumors could pop up again, but from everything I’ve heard, it would take a major setback — like another serious injury — for them to consider going that route. Right now, they’re all-in on building around McCarthy and setting him up for success.”

In other words, unless something drastic happens, don’t expect a Rodgers-to-Minnesota move. A Brett Favre-style season with Rodgers in purple seems unlikely — unless the team finds itself in a 2016 Sam Bradford-type emergency.
