We’re now just hours away from the 2025 NFL Draft, and after months of debate and rumors, the football world is finally about to find out what the New York Giants will do with the No. 3 overall pick.
This draft is a make-or-break moment for GM Joe Schoen, who must deliver a strong, impact-filled class to help turn the page on a disastrous 2024 season. If not, both he and head coach Brian Daboll could be out the door by next offseason.
Armed with eight total picks, here’s how Big Blue’s draft could shake out:
Round 1, Pick 3 – Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
The Giants may have their eyes on Travis Hunter, but he’s expected to go No. 2 to the Browns. With Hunter off the board, New York lands the top pass rusher in the draft: Abdul Carter.
Carter tallied 12 sacks and ranked third in the nation with an 18.5% pressure rate last season. He’s an explosive, game-wrecking presence off the edge and a potential Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate. Pairing him with Dexter Lawrence, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Brian Burns gives the Giants a terrifying front seven.
Round 2, Pick 34 – Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
New York grabs arguably the most athletic quarterback in the class in Alabama’s Jalen Milroe. While he needs polish—especially in terms of accuracy—his elite arm and 20 rushing touchdowns in 2024 make him a tantalizing dual-threat.
He won’t be rushed into action either. Sitting behind Russell Wilson for a season gives Milroe time to grow before possibly taking the reins in 2026.
Round 3, Pick 65 – Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo
The Giants continue beefing up their defensive line with Darius Alexander, a powerful 6’4″, 305-pound force who can help plug the run and collapse the pocket. He totaled 7.5 sacks over his last two college seasons and brings upside as a rotational interior lineman.
Learning behind Dexter Lawrence could fast-track his development.
Round 4, Pick 99 – Damien Martinez, RB, Miami
Tyrone Tracy Jr. may be the starter, but New York needs a bigger back to handle short-yardage and goal-line duties. Enter Damien Martinez—6’0″, 232 pounds, with a punishing running style.
He averaged 6.3 yards per carry and scored 10 touchdowns last year, giving the Giants a tough, physical complement to Tracy.
Round 4, Pick 105 – Dylan Fairchild, OG, Georgia
Offensive line help remains a priority, and Georgia’s Dylan Fairchild offers both reliability and experience. A two-year starter and Second-Team All-SEC honoree, Fairchild has the size (6’5″, 318) and skill to compete for a starting role at guard.
Round 5, Pick 154 – Logan Brown, OT, Kansas
Injuries have plagued Andrew Thomas the past two years, so the Giants add depth at tackle with Logan Brown. He’s a seasoned veteran with 39 collegiate appearances and all-conference honors in 2024.
Brown has experience on both sides of the line, but profiles best as a swing tackle and insurance policy.

Logan Brown,
Round 6, Pick 219 – Will Sheppard, WR, Colorado
The Giants have done their homework on Colorado prospects, and Will Sheppard could be a late-round gem. At 6’3″, 205, he brings size and physicality to a receiving corps that’s lacked it.
His 48 catches, 621 yards, and six scores last year show promise—he just needs to refine his route running and create better separation.
Round 7, Pick 246 – Robert Longerbeam, CB, Rutgers
Special teams help is key in the late rounds, and Robert Longerbeam checks the box. He had a productive career at Rutgers, racking up 152 tackles and 33 pass breakups.
He may not have the size to play outside corner, but he could stick as a nickel backup and core special teams contributor.
