One of Ben Arbuckle’s first major moves as Oklahoma’s offensive coordinator was securing the commitment of quarterback Jett Niu, who was previously pledged to in-state rival Oklahoma State. The 6-foot-2, 197-pound signal-caller had been committed to the Cowboys for nearly four months before receiving an offer from the Sooners. It didn’t take long for Niu to make his decision—just days after the offer, he flipped to Oklahoma, adding another dynamic talent to the Sooners’ evolving quarterback room.
Arbuckle had already been recruiting Niu during his time at Washington State, but when the opportunity arose to bring him to Norman, everything fell into place. With a blend of speed, vision, and physicality, he’s cementing himself as one of the top backs in the 2026 cycle. As recruiting battles heat up, expect the competition for Robinson’s commitment to intensify, with some of the nation’s biggest programs making him a priority target.
