2025 South Carolina Football Schedule Aug 31 vs Virginia Tech (in Atlanta)Sept 6 South Carolina StateSept 13 VanderbiltSept 20 at MissouriSept 27 KentuckyOct 4 OPEN DATEOct 11 at LSUOct 18 OklahomaOct 25 AlabamaNov 1 at Ole MissNov 8 OPEN DATENov 15 at Texas A&MNov 22 Coastal CarolinaNov 29 Clemson Who does South Carolina miss from the SEC schedule? Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Tennessee, TexasThe Gamecocks don’t have to deal with Georgia, Texas, Florida, or Tennessee. It would be nice to have missed out on Alabama, but that’s a home game – overall, this isn’t a bad bunch of teams to miss.Even if Mississippi State and Auburn bounce back big, it would’ve been nice to have them on the slate over LSU and Ole Miss, but again, they miss some key teams.

South Carolina football schedule, the good and the bad The Good: Along with missing the three SEC teams that made the College Football Playoff last year, getting Oklahoma and Alabama at home matters. The four road games are all spaced out nicely – there aren’t two in a row – and the off weeks come before dealing with two of the toughest road games against … The Bad: You have to play someone tough in the SEC no matter who you miss, and the Gamecocks have to deal with Missouri, LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M – the open dates come before facing LSU and the Aggies.South Carolina will probably be the underdog in all four games, and making things worse is the date with the Rebels coming without a break after playing LSU, Oklahoma, and Bama.

South Carolina Football Schedule: Best and worst case scenarios Best Case Scenario: The Gamecocks start out with a good win over Virginia Tech and take care of home in September for a 4-1 start at worst. Beat Missouri, and there’s a huge buffer for a brutal October.Realistically, winning two of the three October games would be about as good as could be dreamed of, the Gamecocks split the November road dates against Ole Miss and Texas A&M, and of course, it closes out with a win over Clemson.

Worst Case Scenario: The Virginia Tech game is a loss, so is the date at Mizzou, and Kentucky or Vanderbilt pull off something big in Williams-Brice. And then comes the pain. It’s a 2-3 run – at best – after the October 4th open date, and then it all finishes with a loss to Clemson. Season Prediction: (Jan. 30) The Gamecocks will pile up the wins early and will pull off a win over Oklahoma or Alabama, but those nasty SEC road games will all be fights going 1-3. There will be enough wins to get to a bowl game without a problem, but the College Football Playoff might be too big of a lift.
