BREAKING: Speed Kills: Giants’ Lightning-Fast WR Could Take 2025 by Storm

The New York Giants wrapped up their OTAs this week, and early signs point to a team with renewed energy—thanks in part to changes in the quarterback room. With veteran Russell Wilson expected to start in 2025, there’s hope that his presence can help elevate some of the team’s underutilized offensive weapons. One player already turning heads is wide receiver Jalin Hyatt.

According to reports out of Giants camp, Hyatt has been a standout performer, catching the attention of analysts as well. CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell recently named him one of the NFC’s top under-the-radar breakout candidates. Podell noted Hyatt is developing promising chemistry with Wilson, writing, “If New York can actually find consistency throwing deep now that [Daniel] Jones is gone, then perhaps Hyatt could take a major leap.”

Hyatt was drafted in the third round out of Tennessee in 2023 with the hope that he’d be a dynamic addition to Daniel Jones’ arsenal. However, the connection never materialized. Hyatt’s rookie season produced modest numbers: 23 catches for 373 yards over 17 games. Year two was even tougher—he had just 8 receptions for 62 yards across 16 appearances and failed to score a touchdown in either season.

Now entering his third year, Hyatt may finally be in a position to break through. Giants.com’s John Schmeelk noted that Hyatt is beginning to build a rapport with Wilson and could be a great fit in a more vertical offense. If the Giants lean into that style of play, Hyatt’s speed could make him a perfect fit.
