BREAKING; Vikings Fans Stunned as Former CB Joins NFC North Rival in Shocking Free Agency Move!

Nashon Wright didn’t stay a free agent for long after being released by the Minnesota Vikings — less than 24 hours later, he landed a new home with the Chicago Bears. The former Oregon State standout is back in orange after signing a free-agent deal with the division rival.

Wright was acquired by the Vikings last season in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys, which saw Minnesota send cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. to Dallas. While Booth remains with the Cowboys, Wright never made a significant impact in Minnesota. He appeared in just one game during the 2024 season, logging only special teams snaps while spending most of the year on the practice squad, despite the Vikings cycling through multiple cornerbacks on defense.

With a fresh start in Chicago and a new coaching staff in place, Wright now has a real opportunity to carve out a meaningful role in the Bears’ secondary.
