**JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP)** — The Jacksonville Jaguars are building one of the youngest coaching staffs in the NFL. Head coach Liam Coen, 39, finalized the hiring of 29-year-old Grant Udinski from the Minnesota Vikings as offensive coordinator on Wednesday night. However, Coen will retain play-calling duties during his tenure with the team.

Udinski joins the Jaguars after three seasons with the Vikings, where he climbed the ranks under head coach Kevin O’Connell. Starting as an assistant to the head coach and special projects coordinator, he earned two promotions: first to assistant quarterbacks coach in 2023, then to assistant offensive coordinator in 2024. His rapid ascent reflects his growing role in Minnesota’s offensive strategy before moving to Jacksonville.
“Grant will bring a wealth of knowledge, energy, and a winning mentality to help guide our offense here in Jacksonville,” Coen said in a statement. “He’s a rising star in the league who has been a key part of the Vikings’ success, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to our team.”
Coen previously brought in Anthony Campanile, the Green Bay Packers’ run-game coordinator and linebackers coach, to serve as Jacksonville’s defensive coordinator. The 42-year-old Campanile is entering his sixth NFL season and his first as a defensive coordinator.
The Jaguars now have a first-time head coach, a first-time offensive coordinator, and a first-time defensive coordinator. Additionally, they’ve appointed Hall of Fame left tackle Tony Boselli as their first-time executive vice president. The team is also expected to hire a first-time general manager, with plans to fill that role after the Super Bowl.
