The Los Angeles Rams didn’t have to wait long to receive interest in quarterback Matthew Stafford after making him available for trade. According to *The Athletic’s* Dianna Russini, the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders have emerged as two of the most aggressive suitors in recent days.

The Rams allowed Stafford and his agent to explore his market value after failing to reach an agreement on a contract extension. Stafford is reportedly seeking at least $50 million annually, while the Rams are hesitant to meet that figure. Multiple teams have reached out to gauge Stafford’s interest, with the Giants and Raiders reportedly willing to meet his contract demands.

Stafford, who signed a four-year, $160 million extension ahead of the 2022 season, faced a similar situation last offseason. At that time, the Rams reworked his contract, increasing his 2024 salary by $5 million while reducing his 2025 salary from $32 million to $27 million.

The veteran quarterback, who led the Rams to a Super Bowl victory in 2021, completed 65.8% of his passes last season, throwing for 3,762 yards—his lowest total in a season with at least 11 games played. He also recorded 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

It’s unclear whether the Rams will ultimately trade Stafford, but they are expected to demand at least a first-round pick in return. As the situation unfolds, Stafford’s future remains one of the most intriguing storylines of the offseason.
