HOT-NEWS: Vikings in Shocking Trade Talks for 4,000-Yard QB In Blockbuster Deal To Push J.J. McCarthy

The Minnesota Vikings are heading into their offseason workouts with four quarterbacks on the roster, but their work at the position is far from over.

J.J. McCarthy is expected to be the starting quarterback, while the team also traded for Sam Howell from the Seattle Seahawks last weekend, who is likely to be McCarthy’s backup. Brett Rypien, who saw limited playing time last season, is back from last year’s roster, and undrafted rookie Max Brosmer signed with the Vikings after the draft to complete the quarterback room.

Meanwhile, Will Levis, the former second-round pick and current quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, has become a hot name on the trade market ever since the Titans selected Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick last week. On April 30, David Latham of Last Word on Sports suggested that Minnesota could be a potential trade destination for Levis, considering the team’s current quarterback situation.

The Vikings have the talent to contend for a Super Bowl if second-year QB J.J. McCarthy lives up to expectations,” Latham wrote. “But with McCarthy missing his rookie season due to injury, there’s uncertainty about what he can actually bring to the table. While the Sam Howell trade addresses the backup position, adding Will Levis could create even more competition at the most important position on the field.”
