JUST-ANNOINCE: No Doubt About It’ — Jalen Milroe Sends Loud-and-Clear Message to Giants Just Hours Before NFL Draft!

With less than a day remaining before the 2025 NFL Draft kicks off, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe was asked if he’d be open to joining the New York Giants. His response? A big smile and a confident, “No doubt about it.” The interaction was captured and shared by SNY Giants on April 23 during a live broadcast from Green Bay.

Milroe spoke positively about his time connecting with the Giants organization, saying, “It’s been great building that relationship. I’ve spent a lot of time with them, had good conversations, and really got to understand their system. Learning how they run their plays has been a valuable experience.”

He also mentioned developing a connection with Giants head coach Brian Daboll, noting their shared background with members of the Alabama coaching staff.

Milroe’s rare athletic ability has drawn comparisons to quarterbacks like Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts, both of whom thrived under Daboll. However, scouts acknowledge that while his potential is sky-high, his current floor is lower than that of most top-tier QB prospects. The question remains: will the Giants roll the dice on Milroe’s upside?

Latest Giants Draft Buzz: Milroe in the Mix?

The Giants hold a pick in the late first to early second round—right where Milroe is projected to land. They could potentially snag him with the 34th overall pick, or move up slightly if needed.

In their final pre-draft report, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano broke down the Giants’ draft strategy. Graziano reported, “While I won’t say it’s impossible, most sources I’ve spoken to don’t think the Giants will take a quarterback at No. 3. They’re more likely to go with someone like Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter or Colorado’s Travis Hunter, then address quarterback in the second round.”

He continued, “That could mean staying at pick 34 and selecting someone like Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss or Milroe, or perhaps trading up into the late first round.”

Graziano added that there’s growing buzz around Daboll’s preference for Dart over other non-Cam Ward quarterbacks like Shedeur Sanders. While it’s unlikely Dart is the pick at No. 3, he might be an option later in the round if the Giants trade down.

Still, Graziano noted that while Daboll’s opinion carries weight, General Manager Joe Schoen has final say. So if the front office leans toward Sanders or another QB, that could sway the final call.

Milroe on Attending the Draft: “It’s About the Moment”

Though many expect Milroe to be selected on day two, the Alabama signal-caller is attending the draft in person. His reasoning? “For me, it’s not just about going in the first round,” he told SiriusXM NFL Radio. “It’s about hearing my name called and knowing where my journey begins. That’s what matters most.”

Milroe emphasized that walking across that stage is a lifelong dream, no matter when he’s picked.

Say what you will about Jalen Milroe as a prospect—but his mindset heading into the draft is hard not to respect.
