It’s time to break down this week’s results from our SB Nation Reacts survey, and Vikings fans had some strong opinions about what’s in store for the 2025 season. We posed two early questions about expectations for Minnesota, and the responses were definitely telling.
First up: win totals. A whopping 93% of fans believe the Vikings will hit the over on the early 8.5-win projection. And honestly, it’s hard to argue with that level of confidence. The team addressed nearly every major weakness this offseason, and unless rookie QB J.J. McCarthy completely flames out, it’s tough to imagine this squad not hitting double-digit wins. If you’re a betting person, now might be the time to jump on that line before it climbs.
That said, fans aren’t quite as bullish when it comes to where the Vikings will finish in the NFC North. Just 53% think Minnesota will land in second place in the division—again. And to that I say: no way. I’m calling it now—this team wins the North. With the talent they’ve assembled, they should be aiming for the NFC’s top seed, something they haven’t claimed since 1998.
Let’s not forget: the Lions lost the two coaches who helped prop up Dan Campbell’s success. With that support system gone, the door is wide open for the Vikings to take over. In my book, this is the year they make that leap.
Anyway, that’s how the SB Nation Reacts community is feeling about the Vikings this week. We’ll have more polls and results coming throughout the offseason, so stay tuned!
