Before the Buffalo Bills take on the Miami Dolphins this Sunday afternoon, they received a boost on defense with the activation of veteran pass rusher Von Miller from the suspension list, as announced on the team’s website. Miller had been suspended by the NFL on October 1 for “violating the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy,” although the league did not specify the exact reasons.
In November, Miller faced allegations of “assaulting his pregnant girlfriend at their home outside Dallas during the Bills’ bye week,” according to The Associated Press. He reportedly turned himself in, but no charges were filed. Now, Miller says he is “in a great spot” and is set to play against Miami, as reported by Rochester First.
“I’m in a great spot, and I’m just happy all of that stuff is behind me,” Miller stated. “Since joining the Buffalo Bills, I’ve dealt with injuries, being on the PUP list, and now this suspension. I’m relieved to finally put all of that behind me after two and a half years and focus solely on football. All I need to do is my part—nothing more, nothing less—and now I can concentrate on playing the best football I can.”
Miller is eager to build on the team’s success, knowing that a victory over an AFC East rival will provide significant momentum. He played in the first four games of the season before his suspension and has gained a new perspective on football during his time away.
