JUST IN; LATEST SIGNING: Blockbuster Trade Proposal Sends 38-Home Run Star Outfielder To Mets.

The **New York Mets** are expected to be the most active spenders this offseason, with predictions that they will either land **Juan Soto** or pursue an alternative strategy involving multiple star acquisitions. Regardless, the Mets are aiming to make major roster improvements.

In a recent article, Zachary Rymer of the Bleacher Report suggested an ambitious trade idea that could bring a top-tier outfielder to New York. This move could either serve as a backup plan if they miss out on Soto or complement him in center field.

Rymer points out that while the Mets made a strong push for the World Series this year, they lacked a true star in center field, with players like Harrison Bader and Tyrone Taylor taking on much of the responsibility. While the defense was adequate, the offense struggled. To address this, Rymer proposes that the Mets should target **Luis Robert Jr.** of the **Chicago White Sox**.

The trade Rymer envisions would see the Mets acquiring Robert, a dynamic outfielder with genuine 30/30 potential, in exchange for just two top-ten prospects. On paper, this deal would be a huge win for New York, getting one of the league’s most coveted outfielders at a relatively low cost.

However, in reality, it’s unlikely that the **White Sox** would accept such an offer. Last season, Chicago reportedly sought a **Juan Soto-style** return for Robert, and although their demands have reportedly softened, it’s improbable that they would settle for only two top prospects for their star center fielder.

While the trade idea is intriguing and makes sense for the Mets, they would likely need to offer more to acquire Robert, who could be a key long-term addition to their lineup.
