Minnesota Vikings fans are feeling optimistic after the team’s 2025 NFL Draft haul, and early polling shows just how excited they are about the new additions. According to the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, confidence in the team’s draft decisions is sky-high — especially when it comes to first-round pick Donovan Jackson.
The former Ohio State offensive lineman was selected to bring strength and stability to the trenches, and fans are convinced he’ll be starting right away. An overwhelming 97% of voters believe Jackson will be in the lineup on opening day, reinforcing the idea that he could quickly become a core piece of Minnesota’s offensive front.
But excitement doesn’t stop with the first-rounder.
In a bit of a surprise, fifth-round pick Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins generated the most buzz among non-first-round selections. The former Georgia defensive lineman, known for his explosiveness and versatility, claimed 41% of the fan vote. It’s clear supporters believe he could be a hidden gem and potentially play a big role on a defense that’s in transition after some key offseason departures.
Third-round pick Tai Felton, a speedy wide receiver from Maryland, came in second. Fans are hopeful Felton will help stretch the field and complement Minnesota’s current receiving corps. Given the team’s need for playmakers alongside Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, Felton has a clear path to earn snaps early.
Linebacker Kobe King, picked in the later rounds from Penn State, garnered a respectable 19% of the vote. Fans see potential in his hard-hitting style and instincts, especially on special teams or in rotation during early downs.
Tight end Gavin Bartholomew from Pitt rounded out the poll with just 7%. While he may not be the flashiest pick, the Vikings see value in his all-around skill set — especially as a depth option or future contributor in the red zone.
As rookie minicamps approach, fans are eager to see how this draft class fits into Kevin O’Connell’s system. While not everyone may turn into a star, early sentiment suggests the 2025 draft could be one of the more well-received hauls of the Kwesi Adofo-Mensah era — if these young players live up to their potential.
