MAJOR-BREAKING: “Giants Reveal Rookie Jersey Numbers — You Won’t Believe Who’s Wearing These Iconic Digits!”

The New York Giants have officially assigned jersey numbers to their 2025 draft class.

Top pick Abdul Carter, selected third overall, won’t be wearing his college number 11—or the iconic Giants linebacker number 56. Instead, he’s been given number 51, previously worn by longtime long snapper and occasional linebacker Zac DeOssie. While DeOssie might not be the linebacker Carter envisioned emulating, he was a two-time Super Bowl champion and a respected veteran—qualities the Giants hope Carter can replicate in his own way.

Quarterback Jaxson Dart will sport number 6, last worn in 2024 by punter Jamie Gillan, famously known as the “Scottish Hammer.”

Defensive tackle Darius Alexander inherits number 91, a number steeped in Giants history thanks to standout pass rusher Justin Tuck.

Running back Cam Skattebo takes on number 44, made memorable by fan-favorite Ahmad Bradshaw. Giants fans will be hoping Skattebo delivers some rookie magic of his own.

Offensive lineman Marcus Mbow will wear number 71, most recently linked with Will Hernandez, who started at guard from 2018 to 2021.

Seventh-round picks Thomas Fidone II and Korie Black will wear 86 and 25, respectively. Number 86 was previously associated with wideout Darius Slayton, while 25 has been worn by a handful of recent Giants, including Dante Miller and 2023 rookie Deonte Banks.

Of course, these jersey numbers aren’t set in stone—but which ones feel like a perfect fit for the new rookies?
