MAJOR-BREAKING: Yankees’ Aaron Judge gets brutally honest on 2025 World Series pursuit

As the New York Yankees gear up for the regular season during spring training, their ultimate goal is clear: to win the World Series after falling short last year. While some players, like Giancarlo Stanton, will miss the start of the season, the team will be led by superstar Aaron Judge, who has made a bold statement about their title aspirations.

Speaking with MLB Network, Judge emphasized the team’s championship mindset, referencing the franchise’s long-standing standard of winning the ultimate prize. While acknowledging that they didn’t “finish the job” against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series, Judge is focused on getting the Yankees back there and “rewriting the script.”

“It’s still the same goal. When you play in New York, it’s all about winning a championship,” Judge said. “We came close last year, had a chance to go to the dance, but didn’t finish it. Now, everyone in this room is motivated to get back and rewrite the script.”

With new stars like Paul Goldschmidt and Max Fried joining the team, Judge is working on helping them adjust, particularly in his role as team captain. Former Yankees player Chris Young, now with MLB Network, interviewed Judge and asked how he bonds with new teammates. Judge credited Young for teaching him the ropes years ago, noting the importance of building personal connections first.

“I remember you inviting me over to dinner, getting to know me, those little things go a long way,” Judge recalled. “For me, it’s about understanding the guys on a personal level – their family life, what they care about. Once I can connect with them personally, we can get into the more important stuff. You showed me the way.”

With a strong sense of determination and a renewed focus, the Yankees are ready to make another run for their 28th World Series title.
